nice website...on pic#4 mainly the red stuff got few other spots of that on other rocks...pic#2 still have no idea...im a newbie tank only been up since january

did water change yesturday and 5 hrs afterwards it read 0ish on my red sea kit...tested it today and its upto 25ppm and i bet you tomorrow it will be more than twice that...seems i get 3 days then its upto 80ppm...now i have yet to get protein skimmer due to lack of funds but i got some nitrogen spounge in there that's only been wet for about a week now

it doesn't seem to bad, I think it'll be safe to add basic livestock (damsel, clown) when they become STABLE. Stability is the most impotant, then come the actual parameters imo.

lol the tank is almost 7 months and running and i have 7 fish in there already...doesnt seem to bother the fish just bothers me...

I wouldn't worry too much.. I have had my tank for 3 years and my nitrtates are more than 100. don't worry bout it.

cool i hope that's the case it was upto 120 when i changed it and dropped clear to zero according to my red sea kit and read 40 on my api which i've read both read high so i should have my seachem kit on saturday according to the tracking so i'll compare the three test and see what happends...

I got my seachem kit today! I started a thread under the lighting, equipment, and DIY section... take a look at it to get details, but the results were similar to my API

wow really no offense but i hope mine doesnt do the same lol my api does read higher than my red sea though...keeping fingers crossed

lol well both...not that mine are any better but weekly water changes sometimes two are getting old even though i could prob. do them with my eyes closed now...

I would much prefer threads such as these refer questions to established and thoroughly researched guidelines instead of personal anecdotes that may be very far afield.
