What are those red long (1/2") things I see in my sand up against the glass? they look like veins. I think they are good but I dont remember what they are.

Probably a brisstle worm. Pretty common in this industry. No harm to your system but just dont touch them....OUCH!

got it. No, not a deep sand bed. My blue damsel likes making a cave under his rock so he flicks his tail really fast to clear out his area. He has it down to the glass bottom!
From what I've seen and read, I dont think its a bristle worm and its not algae..it will be there one hour and gone the next just leaving the formed area where it was.
