Please tell me what you think of sea cuccumbers? I have read that their defence expelling of thier insides is dangerouse to your tanks and fish and can wipe out entire tanks? Does anyone have opinions?
I have a pink filter feeding cuke and (had it for about 6 months) so far, so good. Ophiura told me that if the cuke dies in my system it will most likely be to starvation, so their wouldn't be much left to poison the system. I also have a sand sifting cuke.
Not sure actually what my offical name is of mine... had alot of algea on the rocks and back walls and lfs told hubby that this cuccumber.. he is tan or gray in color and has brown rings around his bosy Any ideas?
Yeah I gotta yellow cuke. He never sleeps. Always cleaning my sand. He will leave his deposit of filtered sand and keep on going. Never hurt anything in my tank. Everyone else pretty much ignores him too. I like him.

The only really scary one that can wipe out your tank is a sea apple. Some nudis will squirt out purple stuff if you bug them but usally your tank can handle that with ease. If you have some fancy ones lots of testing will help notify u if anything funky is going on ***)

Now, sea apples are something I would be afraid to try.
well definatly NOT a sea apple. This one that i have will crap out his insides.. rather discusting if you ask me but he only did that in the lfs when they put him in the bag. They changed it and he hasnt ever done it at home so far. I see him on the walls all the time. But he is on the rock and sand when the lights are off. I can still see with the moon lights. Thanks for all your imput
