I'm new to corals, i was just wondering what do you do with a coral? I got two mushrooms, and they are just attached to little rocks. Do I just put the rocks in crevices? Do I pull them off? I know these are stupid questions.
Not really an answer to your question but just wanted to say that no question is ever stupid. The only way anyone knows is because they have asked and then returned the favor to someone else! That is what this forum is for. There are so many knowledgeable people here! I am so happy to have found it! Even if you have a question that you feel is not worth asking, look at all the diffrent threads and the answer is there somewhere!
I would agree that you need to permanently attach the coral to something in your aquarium. Sometimes my fish like to move or bump off my smaller pieces of coral that are sitting unattached on ledges.
For mushrooms best to place the rock that they are on somewhere near the bottom if you have strong lights and opposite if not. And important that the light does shine on them. Not too much current and make sure the rock will stay in place however you want. A tight wedge or glue/epoxy or wedge another rock against it.
Congrats on the coral.
