hey florida joe,
i would love to hear some opinions on ich treatment.
can never know eneough .
personally i dont worry when i see the start of a few spots on the fish.
i qt all new fish for 6 weeks because i have a 90 gallon qt and a ton of room so no big deal.
as on the other post i had ich show up on my purple tang 3 days ago probably 25 spots on 5 inch fish and my achilles had a few.
i feel as long as the water has been perfect and i feed different foods with garlic and vitimins they will fight it off.
i havnt lost a fish to ich in probably 15 yrs.
i think because the equiptment is so much better now that the better water quality aids in the cure.
although i would not just dump a sick fish in and expect the fish to fight it off.
i think even if you dont see ich for years and something stresses the fish they can show up with ich.
just like us people getdiseases all the time with no explanation for it.
i just went and looked at the tangs and the sugar bumps look to be just blotches now not raised except a couple .
i am sereously thinking of getting a u.v. for better water as i will be adding the two fish from my qt in a couple weeks.
what ya think?

If you wanted advice from just florida joe, you could use pm. This would probably get better results in the disease forum. Sep knows more about ich than ich knows about itself...

Good Luck in finding your answers

the ich is going away pretty fast.
since ich is the most common disease i figured this post would get alot of attention.
apparently not a concern out there for it.
i know i have lost alot of fish to it.
but that was back before this hobby has gotten so advanced.
