Ya.... a little does go a long way. I was using this but switched to fresh because it is cheap. Plus we use it too,,,, love that garlic. I would use the kent again if money was no object. It is a great product

I have used the above mentioned and Koylic (by GNC). I currently use crushed fresh garlic because i have good reults with it and its much less expensive than the kents. As far as prepaired liquids goes, i really like the Koylic over the Kents. Its about $11 an oz, compaierd to Kents, about $18 at the LFS. I beleive it's just about (or just as good) as the fresh garlic method.
Just my 2cents.

When using crushed fresh garlic, do you just crush as best you can and mix in with food? How much do you use and how often?

I have not done the "fresh garlic" thing...and it "may" be better...
But I have noticed improvements in eating habits and health which in turn builds "immunity" and fights ick... by adding garlic "juice" to fish's food...
Kent's Garlic Extreme works well, but McCormick's Garlic Juice has the same ingredients (check the labels) at 1/4 the price...

yellowtail I use fresh garlic also. Is it possible that your goby is just "intimidated" by the others---my firefish were b/c of my clowns and I would have to distract the clowns and kinda spot feed the firefish.
I completely forgot about Koylic and McCormick's, haven't seen that mentioned in a long time.

Just cut up a clove into a few pieces (I don't crushed it) add to the cup with tankwater and the food and let soak. I use tongs to remove before adding, you could strain or whatever you chose. I never added the garlic to the tank, just the food that has absorbed the juices.
I only feed them this way once a week. Yes, it is said to build immunity to ick (or is it ich), but IMO too much can cause an immunity to the garlic. My 2 cents. HTH
