Its very pretty but not worth that.
The bigger pieces are beautiful, BUT...I buy small, and get to watch them become BIG ...
(and it's cheaper that way too)
Every once in a while I buy something a little bigger....but really you can get a tankfull by buying frags and corals on sale on swf

Havent watched anything grow yet but you know that. It was a 3/4 square of Tyree Aquascene. I found a piece full grow of something I want. I'll post a pic if I get it or not. I think everyone will want some of these when I post pic.

I have never heard of that...definitely post a pic...
It's like all the crazy Zoanthid names, drive the price up because people talk about them. Chalice coral is very east to frag and grow out. The prices on a lot of coral are all about hype.
JMO
I agree that it's mostly hype that drives the prices of some of the corals out of control... I have a really really nice chalice I got for about $50 from someone I know in reefing...In most LFS it would sell for about $150 They are great additions to a tank however and IMO an easy SPS

They sell them on this site for $30 and up....That's not too bad
Do you have a pic of yours? I'm curious how they grow..

Which one is that called?Watermelon

Nice pc. but not worth all the money they want for them IMO. More folks need to frag these and get them into circulation to bring the prices down.
I paid $10 for a frag at a LFS, about 3 X 2. Don't think they knew what it was. It's turning out very pretty and growing fast, all of the frag marks are covered with new growth.
