What is a pod?

its a small bug looking them that lives in the rocks in your tank.
Looks kinda like a flea crawling arounfd the tank.
if you want to look for them use a flashlight at night with a red filter. they can move fast LOL

oh cool..well i have some of those...they look like shrimp kinda...a couple of them have made tunnels along the side of my tank...like a tube and i can seem them moving back and forth in them..what does the pod do?

they eat microsopic things and detirus. they also multiply and are a food source for fish.
I just noticed your from Terre Haute I am originally from South Bend. LOL

yeah..i havent ever been to south bend...have you ever been down to Inland Aquatics here in Terre Haute? its a pretty sweet LFS, a bit pricey but i guess you would expect that

Pods are generally tiny little crustaceans when in this hobbies context and general thinking. There are huge isopods and such in nature, but when talking tanks.....usually quite small.

yeah you can buy them online as kits but have to do a search for them.
I have been there but I wasnt really into saltwater then I got into SW after I moved to Arkansas. LOL go figure I hear there a lot of good stores in IN. I will be makeing a trip up there this summer sometime and have to stop by and check them out and I also want to go to premium in Indy.
