looks like an aiptasia with rings on its tentacles, my LFS had a bunch of these at one time. he told me they were something else, i told them they looked like aiptasia and probably stung like aiptasia, so he killed it with kalk paste.

What is amazing is that the mother is at the opposite side of the tank seems like Jr just had to get as far from mom as he could. and your lfs killed one of the good ones
They really are cool looking, just mean.
ive known a few kids in my day that did the same thing to thier mothers, didn't work out all that well for them.

You are correct but fortunately they do not move around once established and as in nature my fish seem to say clear of it, my pistol does a good job of supplying it with food and I spot feed it
