What does it say about the woman when she bails on her responsibilities to her constituents? If she did get elected as President (if she did, I WOULD leave the country), would she stick her head between her tail and run when the pressure got too big? "Sorry, but I'm not up for the intense pressures and responsibilities that it takes to be President. I'm leaving office in the next couple of weeks and concentrate on making changes outside of government". If she does it as Governor, what's to stop her from doing the same in a Congressional position?

Mickey Mouse could be Governor of Alaska and still run the state without a deficit. It's called Oil, Black Gold, Texas Tea...
So if Obama went to Alaska, he'd run a surplus?

You honestly think she's some perfect politician that's never had any 'under the table' shady deals? Give me a break. She just like every other crooked politician. She wouldn't have any problems getting her palm greased if she got into Washington. If you believe she's some True Blue Mrs. Smith Goes To Washington, I have some oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you.
She went after politicians in her own party in Alaska. I'd be willing to give her a shot at DC. The problem goes back to the fools voting these people in for years. If the system can corrupt a patriot like Duke Cunningham it can anyone. Term limits is the best answer but unfortunatly it ain't ever going to happen.
Just saw a deal today about the lavish trips members of Congress are taking at a time when us the folks are having to cut back and looking at huge tax increases to pay for the foolish spending spree the government is on. Does a Senator really need a staff of a 120+ people? Most of those job go to some rich contributors kid who was lucky to get on the short yeller bus and now makes 80K for stuffing mail and licking stamps.

The ONLY acceptable reason for bailing as governor is if she wants to get the media off her family. If she lays low for a couple years then jumps back into politics I think that would be acceptable but if she takes a shot at president in 12 she will get blasted for not being able to take the heat.

Doesn't sound like she's gonna 'lie low'. There's already a book deal in the works, and a possible TV Host show like Oprah's.

I'm all for term limits for Senators and House members. I don't any of them should be there for more than 8 years. Also don't think they should have the lifetime perks they get when they do leave office. Take away all the incentives, and half of them would leave today.

So Palin has little political experience and was fairly unknown until recently. Sounds eerily familiar. Oh yeh, that pretty much describes the current occupant of the white house.

Actually she'll be blasted if she breathes...
People are just parrots, if certain people say white is black and black is white. They'll believe it and repeat it. As seen above. Here is a person who successfully ran the largest state in the union. Done what only a handful of states have been successful doing. Balance a budget and run a sustainable budget (even when oil was 30 bucks a barrel) and she is an idiot. If that is idiot I'll take idiot over the genius's we have in washington today...
