So I wife borrowed this book. And has literally stayed up till five all week, reading every book in one sitting. What is the deal with this book? I don't get the attraction...

I read some reviews.
Sounds lame.
I'll pass on this one...besides, I don't really get turned on by vampire stories.

Harry Potter is significantly better written. I just don't understand the appeal. I'm not knocking the writing style. You've got to hit your target audience. I just don't understand the appeal...

To me it is like reading one of those saucy romance novels without any sauce...

I feel that only young teen girls can bash it, everyone else should leave it alone. lol. If you wanna watch a good vampire movie, go to the root and watch Dracula; the blade trilogy is good too.
Seeing this movie in the theater would be a good place to meet some girls though, keep that in mind *(Unless you are not a young teen boy
).

Everyone else SHOULD leave it alone. I made the mistake of reading up to half of book three. It is full of things like "his chest was so hard and cold" or "as I lay with him he kissed my neck so sweetly". That was more in book three. I just couldn't take it anymore!!!!! And now I hear that the last book (4) has multiple s ex scenes in it! And this is for teens? WOW!

That's the problem with all this teen crap on tv and in literature. They take problems and situations that occur in high school and they elevate it. They make minor things huge deals and they incorporate things that are experienced by 30 year olds into it. Most people would watch an american pie movie and say, "college is nothing like that" while others would watch it and say, "college needs to be more like that." If that makes sense. It is nonsense to me and everything should but won't be taken lightly.

I'm not talking so much about the movie. It is probably nothing like the books. I do like dumb movies like underworld.

Dude, my wife has all of them and has read them over and over and over and over......
And she just dragged me to the movie, we just got home. It wasn't great, but I've definitely seen worse movies.
