Oh my bad. Almost every other post on here was sarcastic and condescending in a backhanded kind of way.
Yet I tease him - only I'm forthright - and I'm the bad guy?
My bad, next time I'll pretend to be helpful while I make fun of the guy, like everyone else did.
People were taking it as a joke because of the hehe and were making "funny" recommendations... you turned the jokes the the hobbyist himself. There's a difference.

Ok Im sorry I didn't mean for that particular post to be mean-spirited. It's not like the OP is going to deny he has had serious problems with his tanks. But C'MON!!!! No one looked at that tank without cracking up? I was just trying to point out the hilarity. And you can't ignore the irony - I think this tank is less than a year old yet he has enough coralline to seed every new tank that starts on SWF in the next 2 years!!! Yet he seemingly doesn't know what he is doing. No one saw the irony in that?
I think this is the same guy who put like 60 pounds of live rock in his garage in Chicago over the winter for like 6 months and then posted asking if people thought it was still "live." Hahaha.
He sounds like a good guy but I think he might just wait a little too long to address issues.

Wow saw this post acouple days ago when taco posted... I thought it was a joke also, just from tacos post lol. But then I thought maybe it wasnt and this dude was going to mess up his tanks badly, but I lost where he had posted it, and now I found it again, and damn it got bad lol..
On new2salts deffence.. if you dont know what coraline is, you should hit the book's before jumping into a SW tank!
But then again he was a little harsh in what he said, and to your deffence yes it is a forum for help on maintaining a SW tank ect. and you should be allowed to ask questions without being put down.
But my personal opinion (dont take it the wrong way) READ A BOOK ABOUT SW FISH KEEPING! lol The coraline is good, and all you have to do is scrape it off with a razor.. But you also might want to do that before a W/C because you'll want to suck up most of it so it doesnt grow back 1000x worse.
Cant wait to see what the tank actually looks like when your done!
P.S everyone should chill out on this forum! Everyones always jumping down peoples throats!

Well i knew it was good but i forgot the name of it. Just never seen it grow on the front of my glass. Thats why i posted it. Iv tryed to use my magnet brush on my glass when it started but it never seem to get it off and it kept growing. Thats were i was geting fetup w/ it and asked. The coraline took a while to grow on the front of my glass but i was trying to prevent it. Whats also wierd theres nothin on the sides of my tank. only on the front what seems strange

I use a variety of the Kent scrapers and you can get little metal ones for glass tanks. I just ordered a few replacement blades myself. My husband uses the razor blades, but I'm a little accident and those things are double sided!

I have taken my magnet cleaner at removed the velcro on the in-tank side. Then I took one of those blue scrubby sponges and peeled off the scrubby part. I cut it to size and with a few strategically place drops of super glue gel viola!
This is amazing, if you keep up with your clening it will take off that hard crusting type of green coralline that come on the glass with jsut a few passes over it. Truly amazing to me. I have done it on my larger magfloat and my small nimble nano too. Words great. My next check will be to see if the blue scrubby is the best of the colors to use. I know that some are rougher than others just had the blue one (new) under the kitchen counter and used it.

What type of scrubby are you talking about Henry? Do you have a pic

I get some of those green dots of algae, and my mag scraper does take it off...but with an awful lot of scrubbing
