How old is you live rock? And when did you notice it pop up? I would say it has been there for a while seeing that it is not a speck. Hope this helps.

the live rock its been there for over a year and i have been seing this for a while now. what i have been doing is removing the rock and brushing it off but it will appear againg in a different rock.my water params are excellent

If it is a sponge then tanking the rock out of water will kill it, sense the air get traped inside. (right?

Small sponges can survive time in open air. Large sponges have a good chance of dying when exposed to air.
