What is your tank temp???

Most of the boxes of salt that I read say that 75 is around a normal temp. Back when I was talking to the owner of this one LFS - he told me that I should keep it at 65 so I dont have to worry about algae. If I keep it at 65 I wouldnt have to worry about having a tank, LOL. Now I keep it around 78-79 and it spikes to maybe 81-82 at the highest towards the end of the day when my halides are about to switch off.
So what do you keep yours at?

yeah mine there really isnt much I can do to prevent the 2-3 degree temp increase during the day. I dont believe anyways that it is worth putting 1000 dollars into a chiller. My MH's are 16 inches off my tank. However it is a 72" 3xwhatever watt HQI and then PC's. 894 is the total wattage. I am waiting for this 72x32x26 to be built and it looks kind of odd over my 55 right now.

Mine would change about 2-3 degrees a day. It was constant though throughout the week. Everythign seemed happy. Found my thermometer busted at the bottom of the tank one day. Now I just occasionally float a thermometer in there from another tank to get a quick check, and honestly haven't had a problem yet.
I don't think it's very critical as long as its within a reasonable range and pretty consistent. =)
I don't run a heater - just my 2 X 96W PC lights, my emperor 400, return pump, and 2 powerheads. Seems to work pretty well.

77F constant controlled by 2-200w eheim-jaegers. Don't have MH lights, but run 480watts of no and compact flourescents

Lowest range is 76.5
Highest recorded 78.9
Added heaters to sump so when lights go off temp will not move as much.
Now pretty stable at 77.4 - 77.8 TiTanium chiller set for 78.
Oh yeah its a 210 with 2 250 watt MH and 2 160 watt VHO

I try to keep it right at 80deg. Keeping the temp low is suppose to help prevent algae from growing but 65deg is a pretty rediculous suggestion with you posting this in the reef section. Perhaps 75deg.

I keep min at 80. If the house gets above 78 it rises to 81 at the end of the light cycle. I need a few fans to keep it at 80.
Running a 72" Aqualight pro on a 215.

82 in winter, 84 in summer. A higher temp is not that big of deal as long as you have high DO levels.

How many chillers do you think it would take to keep your tank at 65 when the room temp is 75-80
