OK guys I think I have a problem......in the 225G..my snails keep dieing...At first I thought it was the hermits and removed all of them, BUT slowly the snails die
I should have 1000 in this freakin tank with all I buy....LOL.....
I have to go out soon, SO can not do too much right now, BUT WAS HOPING for some suggestions
thanks

I'm assuming that it's multiple species of snails?
My Yellow Coris Wrasse and Blonde Naso Tang are big culprits in my 180. The wrasse will flip them over, while the tang carries them around the tank and drops them where she sees fit, which sometimes is upside down.
I've also caught bristleworms eating snails.
The obvious reasons: salinity swings/issues, low calcium levels, alk swings/high alk, temperature swings.
Is it possible that there is not enough for them to eat?

What temp and salinity do you keep the tank at? Do you have any livestock that is considered not invert safe? Tested for copper at all? What species of snails have you tried?

OK...Getting ready to walk out the door....LOL...BUT
I am very sure there is enough to eat.....have never seen anything eat them (except hermits which are gone) ....
I will run a series of tests tonight when I get home tonight.....I am also planning on doing a w/c
I have cerith, nassarius, turbo, astrea, turban...etc....etc....etc.....
I also have tiger sand conch..that are fine, and a sand star that is fine, and cleaner clams (so it is not the sand)
temp runs 76-80.......salinity 1.026

Is this only happening in the 225?
WELL.....I have a few dead snails around, BUT I have added so many to the 225G and am constantly seeing them die
I did not do my w/c or anything tonight....too tired....LOL....I will tomorrow, BUT what should I look for? there has to be a reason for this

Ya know, this is weird. Are we having some of the same issues or what? Is this a curse on large systems?? My snails are still acting weird too, and some of the banded trochus have died. I bought 5 more snails, but I got the regular turbans. So far they are ok, and munching out on the glass lol. I wonder what we have in common that could be causing this?

fuzzy stuff on the rocks....lol.....and some on the back glass.....
The Astreae and most Turban Snails can only eat diatoms. Ceriths are pretty difficult to kill, are they dying too? Nassarius vibex can only eat carrion so they're not going to help with anything fuzzy either.
