What kind of lighting should I use on my new frag tank?

I just purchased a 50g breeder tank that I want to use for growing coral frags. I am intersted in getting some opinions as to what kind of ligthing I should use on this grow out tank. The lighting that I have on hand that I can use for this are some normal output lights, power compacts, vho's and I also have 1 400w metal halide shop light. If i am going to use the metal halide, I will have to get a different bulb for it because it has a bulb with the wrong kelvin rating. I am interested in being able to grow everything. Also, what kelvin rating bulb should I use whether it is a mh,vho or pc. Thanks in advance.

If it were me I would use a 250 watt (your 400 will work) on one side with a 6500K Iwasaki DL Mercury Vapor bulb and another MH with a 20K on the other side. The Eye will grow them very fast and then use the 20K to color them up.

Hey mmync,
let me know when you get that thing up and running with some good frags. If you are interested in supplementing your hobby, if you know what I mean, maybe I can take a look at your stock. I live in Novi as of now.
