AquaC EV 180 is relatively tiny yet powerful. about $400 after you buy a pump (about $330 without)
MRC MR1 extremely powerful beckett but an energy hog due to pump size required also close to $400 after you buy the large pump skimmer it self is $320 the way you want it ($275 the way you dont)
Tunze DOC virtually silent and small, draws hardly any power. dont get the 9015, its the same as the 9010 with smaller collection cup all other specs are the same except the price ($100 dollar difference). about $330 for the 9010 pump built it. I've never seen one skim as dry as the others here are capable of but that is only an issue if you want to make mud.
