What the heck is this??

This is on one of my rocks. Only one that I can see. It is some sort of algae I assume. It looks like silly string. What is is?

Looks like Valonia to me.

I saved your pic and zoomed in on it....the resolution got real blurry but I don't think its valonia...possibly some sort of caulpera....definitely appears to be some sort of macro algae....:thinking:

It is growing in a tubular fashion from what I can tell. I got the closest shot I could.
