I was kind of thinking that fishlovr first picture looked like the Bryopsis that I have. It sure looks like it. Not so much in the picture I posted.

The picture of your Clam is definately Bryopsis. IMO the difference is that the Clam looks to have a mature growth of Bryopsis where the algae has developed a mini ecosystem including pods, worms, mini-stars, etc.
