What was the last movie that really scared you?

Not the best horror flick ever but I saw Mirrors last night and it was pretty good. My wife was too scared to go to bed alone so she came to the basement with me while I did a quick water change.
I got up this morning and half expected my reflection to come alive and try to kill me while I shaved... or at least to give me an evil smile that would traumatize me for the rest of the day. I don't like mirrors anymore.

(insert clever one-liners whenever ready)

I saw that movie a couple of weeks ago....I did not like the end.
You don't look like you need to shave though...

Umm... how do you know whether I need to shave? Have you been looking at me... like from the other side of the mirror???

Great, now I need to change my pants. Anyway...

I can't remember the last movie that actually scared me. Sure, there were some creepy parts, like in The Ring, but I think the last time I was really scared by a movie was when I saw Nightmare on Elm Street for the first time, 25 years or so ago

Me too! That and Gremlins

I think I was around 10-11. I had to look under my bed for like two years after that.
I don't watch scary movies at all. My son loves them. I get creeped out by hearing the music from the other room

I agree, but that mirrors movie hit a nerve.
I live with my Mother, since my Father passed away. She has huge mirrors in every room. I can get a full body shot of me sleeping, going to the bathroom, taking a shower or answering the front door.
I am talking floor to the ceiling mirrors all over the house. It is creepy and that movie reminds me of this house.
Why the one in the bathroom??? Just weird I tell ya. It is not just this house, she does it no matter where she moves.
Her house burned a few years back, before my Dad died. The insurance rented them a house until repairs were finished. She bought a mirror, floor to the ceiling for a bathroom the size of a closet.

She said it made the room look bigger. I think it made ME look bigger, more than I cared to look at.
She is old, so I leave her be on what she likes. But she did the mirror stuff since I was a kid. When I had my own house before moving in with her. I had a little mirror in the bathroom so I could comb my hair, and the one over the dresser in my bedroom. That was it.

Alot of foreign horror movies are a little disturbing. Not really scary but I love the 2 movies Rob Zombie did. I just watched Quaratine this weekend, totally retarded, and boring. If you like disturbing but not really scary some of the "Faces of Death" movies are creepy

I think Secret Window with Johnny Depp is creepy. That's a recent one I saw.
I saw Cloverfield and was somewhat disappointed.

+ 1 on cloverfield. It had a great story, but all the jumping around gave me a headache. They tried to make it realistic, it was just painful.

When I watch a horror film...I want gory and either to be on the edge of my seat, or holding a pillow to my face

Haunting in Conneticut looks freaky to me...Supernatural stuff gets to me. I will not be watching that movie. Could be like blair witch though...excellent marketing, but lacking quality content.

I can't remember the name of the movie, but it had all these little fury monsters that rolled up in a huge ball and terrorized everyone. Before they became the big ball they would just eat people in little fuzzy monster gangs. I know it doesn't sound scary but it scared the crap out of me when i was a kid. It's an old 80's movie. Anyone know the name?
