Just getting some ideas of what to put in my tank so far this is my list:
40 lbs lr-adding more soon
50lbs of sand
10lbs of CC (wished i would have removed it all when i switched to sand)
2 pepermint shrimp
5 Astrea snails
2 Mexican turbos
1 serpant star
1 yellow tang
1 domino damsel
1 yellow tail damsel
Tanks been running 3 months.
Thats it for now, im going to order more inverts for the cleaning crew soon. I tried a pair of clowns 2 different times but both pairs didnt make it
. Im affraid to try them again. Im not sure what else I want to add fish wise. I think ill trade the tang in once its full grown. Should I add a few small fish or 1 larger fish like a dwarf angel? I really like flame and coral beauty's. Give some advice, also feel free to post pics. Thanks:happy:

accually if you want to try clown fish again I would recomend getiing the damsels out and keep the tang the tang is a peacfull fish while damseld are agresssive to others Im not sure if you are aware of this but a clown fish is also a damselfish they also do much better without another clown

The domino damsel and yellow tail damsels are very agressive fish. And they get worse as they grow. They would fight with my clowns alot. Thats why i don't have damsels anymore. I used to have a yellow tang . He never bothered the clowns. But when i got a small blue tang they fought constantly. Leading to both of their deaths from ich. The coral beauty might fight with the yellow in a 55 . I try to stick with friendly fish in my tank.
i have 3 g chromis
2 osc clowns
1 Bicolor blenny
1 yellow goby
1 yellow sleephead goby
1 sandsifting star
7 nass snails left
1 cleaner shrimp
40lbs of live sand with dead corals and replicas.
That should be it for my 55. I just need a BTA

nothing's in mine right now, i have an empty 55g sitting around.
thinking about putting in 6 green chromis to school, and then a clown and flame angel from my other tank. And then make it my tank to play w/ anemones and corals. Or maybe put in my small SFE and once things start disappearing i'll know he's ready to be bumped to my aggressive tanks :D

How do u like the flame angel? I thought about getting one to add to my tank. Would my tank be big enough for one with the fish I have?

Yellow tangs are one of the more aggressive tangs. I would try to do tomatoes or maroons (very hard). No perculas or clarkiis. Maybe a saddleback or an onyx. Most people like the true percula look, that simply won't work in your tank with the yellow tang.

I just have: two small oscellaris clowns,
one small (1-1/2") six-line wrasse
one flame hawkfish
one torch coral
one zoanthid colony
about 60 lbs of live rock
about 25 astrea turbo snails
When I first put the six-line (Lucy) in, the hawkfish was terrorizing her (I tried and tried, my daughter and her boyfriend tried to get her out , but she was smart and eluded us. I just figured I'd try again in the morning (hoping for the best through the night) But when I looked in, they were fine together. I haven't seen any aggression since. I guess they made friends!
