we have questioned that in the past, and were told we could do 10 fish... is that not the case? They are all very happy and doing very well...no problems which is why we want to add another...

1. 2 tangs in a 55 is really not acceptable for long term.
2. you also have 3 aggressive fish in there which will raise havoc as they grow; the bio load and keeping them fed will be a issue too. What kind of filtration are you running?
3. Where did you get the advice from-10 fish in a 55?

I have a similar stocklist in my 150g these fish all get big, if you are not able to or not wanting to upgrade soon, you need to choose smaller fish. Can you post a pic of your tank?? so we can atleast see how large the fish are. I did keep most of my fish in a 35g for a little over a year, but i got them when they were all tiny. Even so,, you really are not able to add anything to what you have now.

Just out of curiosity, how long has your tank been set up?
