Whats this growing/larvae ing in my HOB? clear pics

I figure if they were harmful things would be dead in my tank already by now since they've been in there for a while. what the heck are they? Its a skilter 250 with the skimmer/air turned off just circulating water.

Appears to be some kind of flatworm. Please describe their movement.

Looks to be a common sponge...look up syconoid sponges.

no movement. I'll look up the sponge. They arent in the tank as far as I know just the HOB.

sponges grow best with very little to no light

Q tip sponges; harmless. I had them everywhere in my fuge and sump but as the tank matured they disappeared. You can try putting some strong light on them to speed up the process. They don't seem to like PC lighting as they were never in my DT but wide spread in fuge and sump. Mine disappeared in the fuge quite rapidly when I switched to PC lighting for the fuge.
