whats wrong with my snail?

bought a massive mexican turbo from the lfs and it wont come out of its shell, it did for about 10 minutes when i first put him in then he fell off a rock and hasnt come out since ( about 6 pm yesterday) i checked all my levels of everything its all good... help

idk, smell it/// may be its dead... and if it flips over, flip him back, they don't know how to turn over

idk man... i have never acclimated any hermit or snail... they allways live////
i just dropped ten hermits in 1.009..... they are all alive... and that from 1.030!!!!!!!!!
i did kill a snail by pouring clod water on it while in the tank.......... alomost instanly... pretty crazy!

hey, i usualy give them 10 min acclimation, sometime i just drop them in, I would not suggest putting inverts in 1.009.
you should continue to keep an eye on him, if he starts to smell its time to throw him away. just dont stick your nose right up in there or you will get a special treat

sometimes it takes a snail some time to get used to the tank.
when in doubt, see if he will stick to the glass, then you can watch from there. you may be able to observe its radula if it is eating.
dont give up till he smells

Your mistreatment of animals does not really fit the problem here. I don't understand why you would do that but I certainly don't enjoy hearing about it. Large snails are sensitive to changes in salinity. Osmotic shock can be fatal.

I had one die. He just never came out either and was sitting on the sand. I pulled him out and smelt it - sure enough he was dead. Leave it in the tank though for the other critters to eat.
That is what everyone told me anyway. Give the crabs a snack.
