For Mex, Chipotle (though you might have to take a loan out first) or Moe's Southwest Grill are the places....

I love In n Out Burger, whenever I am on the West Coast I always make a point to stop in there at least one time, it's really good fastfood!
I am also a big fan of Famous Dave's BBQ, not sure if it's a Chicago thing but it's outstanding!

In&Out Burger - haven't found anything close to it anywhere. Sometimes I torture myself and drool at the food on their website. Wienerschnitzel, Baker's Burgers - all So. Cal. chains. Any So. Cal. Mexican Restuarant - chain or not.
When we visit home, we have to make the rounds. It's rough when you get a craving for them and you live 3,000 miles away!

Definitely. They have a really nice variety of flavors, and their "Blazin" is indeed quite warm, but usually just get a half mediums/half parmesan garlic (definitely worth a try IMO). The drink specials are okay, and FYI they do their wing count in sixes, 6/12/18/24/50/100.
Sounds decent, I'll have to give them a try sometime...

Culver's started in Wisconsin. I had my first Culver's in some small town in Iowa while driving across the country. When they opened in Ft. Collins, I was thrilled!
