I'm a fan of Weinerschnitzel hot dog restaurants when I find them. In & Out is awesome and in CA I always go. I am still desperate to go to a White Castle.
We go to Texas Roadhouse a lot; historically my favorite since childhood is Red Lobster, but I think it is the memories more than anything else
We like Carrabbas as well. Oh, and IHOP.

Don't get your hopes up for White Castle, your Wattaburger in Texas is much better but not as good as In 'N Out. I equate White Castle to decent food at 2.00AM after you leave the bars to soak up the beer.

Don't get your hopes up for White Castle, your Wattaburger in Texas is much better but not as good as In 'N Out. I equate White Castle to decent food at 2.00AM after you leave the bars to soak up the beer.

After my previous experience as an employee, I, too, prefer to avoid Landry's (extensive) chain of restaurants.
There food is fine if you go to a babbins or pappadeaux but it is all the same and way to expensive. It is almost impossible to eat seafood anywhere in houston without eating at landrys or pappas heck they even bought out that fisherman's warf place in Galveston. At least I have a Tom's Boat near my house so I can eat some shrimp and oysters.
