whats your flame angel eat?

So yesterday I finally got my favorite fish the flame angel. I got the angel formula frozen cubes. The cubes do not break apart so how am I supposed to feed it? I cut a piece off and put it in but the only thing that showed interest was my cleaner shrimp. What's the best food for a flame angel?

my tank is too small for a flame, but if memory serves me right I thought they were algae grazers...

my flame angel eats everything. i throw in mysis shrimp most of the time. formula one or two is good too. try getting food made speically for angels, since they need sponge and algae in their diet. since u only got it yesterday, it is still be acclimating.

Yeah, they are omnivores and will eat almost anything, the sponge is important. Never put frozen food in your tank--thaw in some tank water first. IMO & IME; the real key to Flames thriving is having lots of mature LR, they like to graze all day. BTW: I'd suggest you do research like this BEFORE you buy a fish.

Mine eats everything too...BUT I also add Mega Marine Angel.....frozen cubes specifically for angels
also I add mega marine algea

Mine ate Brine, Mysis, Flake, Pellets, Chalice, Acans, Trach, Monti, Acro, zoa, paly etc etc etc etc.. you see the pattern.

mine is eating mysis all day long but grazes at my rock which is very mature. Im not too worried about him. Try everything till he eats. If he sucks some in then spits it out no worries. They are ripping off pieces as they do this.

Mostly San Francisco Bay Brand "Frozen Angel and Butterfly Diet" and Ocean Nutrition "Formula Two", occassionally Hikari's "Spirulina Brine Shrimp" . Some fish don't seem to like the frozen food thats' suspended in gel. I usually slice it up, drop it in a small jar with a little water to thaw out and then shake it up so all the food separates from the gel
