whelk or not??? id!

pretty sure this is a whelk, but confirmation would be nice. I caught it munching a young arrow crab.

I had one like that. I caught it wrestling down a hermit crab, he is gone now.

How do you tell if it is a whelk? I thought awhile ago I read something about the color of the snout...that may have been with a certain snail though. thanks.

Whelks have Snouts. Not all Whelks are bad. Nassarius is a Whelk....
