I have an orange ric that looks like it is getting another mouth right next to the one it has...is this how they split???
Do they grow another mouth..and then there are two???

They can split and also when they move they'll leave a little piece behind. That little piece will become another ric.

here is a pic of my orange ric...You can see the main mouth, and a green dot next to it...which is what looks to me like a new mouth....Is it????
And if it is....how long does it take to split??

Yup! You are going to have two soonish! My Blue Ricordea split for its first time a while back using this method. If I can remember it took like a month or so and it was fully done. Now, the original polyp has a second mouth, and is leaving behind a chunk of it in the process so it's splitting in three! I think the split-time varies a lot. I lately have been spot feeding Mysis and Rod's Reef and since I have started, all 4 strains of ric that I have are preparing for a split or in the case of the blue, two splits.

Could be a week, could be a year. Too many environmental factors to predict a date. Generally, in the same tank the same type of Ricordea will split along similar timelines. But between different hobbiests tanks the timelines will vary greatly.
