I have a percula and was wondering what type of anomae would host the fish and how long should i have had my tank running before adding one. My tank is 3 months old right now.

I don't mean to sound negative, but here goes, an aneneme should be in a well established tank, requires good lighting, and can be toxic to the tank if it should die. I have clowns myseslf and they do not have to have an aneneme. If you do a search on anenemes you will find a lot of info on this board.

IMO Anemone should only be attempted by experience reef keepers that have a few years under their belt AND have done extensive research on compatibility and survival rates.
Your Clown does not need an anemone and will adopt almost anything as a host. This includes Mushrooms, leather corals, etc., even a clay pot could be used.

I agree with Bang Guy on this. IMO the survival rate on anemones is not very good and should be attempted by vetran hobbiest. I too think they are cool and would very much like on but at this stage I am not ready.

I don't have one. I don't think I'm ready yet :) Maybe someday I'll get a tank propogated Rose Bubbletip.... maybe when I feel I'm ready.
