Where are the snails?

Help, my husband and I have started a 150 gallon tank. We rock, 2 crabs and we ordered about 25 turbo snails. However, we've noticed that the snails keep dying. I have tested the the PH levels, Nitrate levels, Alkaline, everything - the salt level seems to be fine, water temp. fine, I've read so many books - any ideas? HELP PLEASE!!!!

What's the temperature of your tank? I have noticed when mine gets above about 81, my turbos die. So I just bought different snails for the summer.

How did you acclimate the snails?

Hi Michelle,
Yes, we did, and they've been in the tank now for about 6 weeks. I just cannot figure it out. The larger the snail the better they seem to be doing, all the small ones are disappearing.

I'll check the temperature today. It has been getting warmer, that might be it, maybe we should invest in a chiller?

Is there enough algae for them to eat? If not, that may be the reason, malnutrition.
