I prefer Challah Bread, myself. Soft, warm and SOOOOOOOO tasty. We pick up a loaf/roll for dinner parties as a gift for the host. Always a hit.
uve never had my Mom's cinnamon raisin challah. omg ::dies::
if you do go for storebought; look for Zomick's. sooooooo soft, sooooooo moist, soooooooooooooooooooo delicious. If you have Zomick's Challa on the same table as a bowl of soup, there is NO reason for spoons!

(their rolls are awesome too! with burgers and lunchmeats and everything!!!!)

Yeah, I was worried those two would be healthy this week, which is why I was gonna take Green-Ellis out as I have 5 HBs. Oh well.

So how many different discussions are going on in this thread... football, basketball (go pistons), jewish food, cake shipping (48334
), what else?
Wifey went out partying tonight so I was with the girls... no time for computer. I was only able to eat some doritoes for dinner so I'm thinking about making a bit of food, and maybe cracking a beer.

A local grocery store bakes Challah in their bakery. I would love to try Challah made by somone who's been doing it all their life from a several hundred or thousand year old recipe. That would ROCK! We brought some to one dinner party a couple years ago. They were serving clam chowder. It was the best chowder I've ever had and the bread was a perfect compliment to the soup. The kids finished off the bread before the adults could get seconds.
BTW, my wife LOVES raisin bread. 92081 (hint) Toss a loaf in with the cupcake toppers.

Yeah, I enjoy me some jewish food... at least most of it. Love fried matzoh, gefilte fish (covered with horseradish), matzoh ball soup, potatoe latkes (with sour cream, NEVER apple sauce).

Though I don't like some of the hard-core stuff... kishke, creamed herring, koogle (sp?).

Then there are the jewish food that have become pretty universal, such as bagel-lox-cream cheese, brisket, corned beef on rye with russian dressing.
