Believe or not, you can kill stuff with ridiculously high levels of calcium too if there's not a high consumption for it. Chemipure is carbon. You can leave it in, but it absorb alot of what you put in as far as 2 part and other additives go, I mean it is used to pull medication out after treatment. LOL.
The LR rubble thing like I said before is like this:
Improper flow through it just causes an unhealthy accumulation of detritus.
Address this and it works well.
As far as a two part dosing supplement would you recommend C-Balance? It seems to maintain a healthy relationship between calcium, alk, and also regulates mag. Here is an excerpt from a retailer:
"This two-part calcium and alkalinity maintenance system adjusts calcium, magnesium, and strontium ions to Natural Seawater ratios, and achieves a balanced ionic residual.
Makes replenishment of calcium and alkalinity easy, and keeps your calcium and alkalinity in perfect harmony, assuring the optimum conditions for growing stony corals and coralline algae. "

ALOT of people like C-balance.. I haven't used it, but I had personal success with Kent Tech CB A&B. I'd like other people to chime in.

Well I was off today (automotive repair business is hurting right now) and got 9.5lb of premo rock
. I will have pictures once the sand settles back down. I feel like if I so much as stick my hand in the water, there will be a sand cloud for the next 24 hours!

what filter would you guys recommend for a 16g bowfront or a 29g bowfront?
I think I can help you.
1) 16 GAL and 29 GAL are almost double one another in volume. How can a filter be recommended or proper flow determined when no one, let alone yourself knows your tank volume.
Oh yeah, and..
2) Don't jack my thread. There is a button at the top of the page to create a new thread. You will get much more help by doing so.

Post your own thread and you will get plenty of help from people who have quite some knowledge.
