Just get some snails, that will be less than 15 bucks, then some sand, and the rock. Like I said with it going to be awhile before any coral or fish go in, just get base rock and a little bit of live rock. The live rock that you do get, make sure there is a little bit of coralline algae that way it can spread

Well, on these forums we arent really allow to post links to other sites. But I can tell you to search for eggcrate mods or aquapod mods on google or even nano-reef dot com has some great diaries of other aquarists aquapods and their mods. It took a lot of looking around to find them, but just do a search on their site for "eggcrate" or "aquapod mod" or something like that. Once you have private messages enabled, ping me and I can send you the direct links.
Cool. Will do so. Thanks and hope to see atleast the LR and LS in there

awesome, looks like a good list
The mag float works ok. I would recommend just using an old credit card or gift card and scraping the algae with that. You could also put a small piece of cloth between the mag and the glass, it works a lot better.
What brand test kits did ya get?

I got the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals test kits.
yeah i heard about the piece of cloth between the mag. The LFS had a cloth on between their magfloat on their nano. It was funny first time i ever saw the magfloat i played with it for like 5 minutes. i bet they were happy that i was cleaning their tank for them.

Yea thats what I do hahah. I use API ones, good stuff. Had it for about a year and its still good, so that gives you an idea on the life of em. Never had to buy refills either, but thats dependent on how often you test.
