White puffballs

I'm rearranging my rock and on the underside of quite a few of them are these little white puffballs. They have holes and look porous almost like sponge. They only grow on the underside of the rocks, wherever it's dark I guess. I found some on the underside of my pump too. I think they're on the rocks that were on the bottom in the sand only. Are they bad or good?

I'm getting old and can't remember. It's not a Sycon (Qtip). Wish I could remember but it's one of the few sponges that can crawl around.

Cool, a crawling sponge. That's a new one for me. I'll have to research it a little more.
Kinda looked like a Sycon to me at first, but now that I look at it....
