Hi JT.
Detroit is my home town so I figured I would chime in. My fish have come down with the plague (ich) too, as of Sunday. I didn't have a quarantine tank, but do from now on.
It's funny how most people don't have one and then swear by one after an ich attack.
Anyway, what I did (thanks to this board) was take some of the water from my DT to start the QT. I put in a sponge from my DT along with the Amequel Plus. Thankfully my levels have been holding on. Over 24 hours I had lowered the salinity to 1.009. I mix the mysis shrimp with garlic and the fish are always hungry.
This is my fourth day and they still have spots, but I don't see it getting worse. It can only get better. (I hope)!
I panicked at the beginning too, but there are people here who do help. Also, once you wake up the second day and your fish are still alive, the panic will ease (somewhat).
Good Luck
