It's a nice bit of blood you give... it'a a whole bag. That's why some feel dizzy after and why they give you some snacks.
They just stick it in and let it drain to this nice little moving bag. :)
I can't donate but I appreciate y'all that do. The little babies I work with count on your blood to live! We call it the vitamin on the NICU and we have to top them up all the time!
By the way... we are always running low on platelets!

Its no biggy, you go in most of the time you recline on a relaxing table, they jab you and keep an eye on you because some don’t like the needle and might faint, then they give you some juice as you go out the door.

Give blood is not that bad. they use either a 16 or 18 gauge needle. They usually use the cephalic vein by your antecubital area. The needle does hurt going in. They take 1 unit of blood out of you. Then you get munchies. It's a great deal.

Well Gio, I'm excited for you. I'm also excited that your excited!
Everytime I see a blood mobile I try to give. I feel there's nothing I could be doing at the moment that's more important.
It doesn't hurt, unless your a big sissy.
And you being excited to do something for someone you'll never meet says volumes about your character.
I know people who walk right by that blood mobile and never even consider giving. They say, they don't have the time. I'd love to see somebody walk onto Cranberry's floor, see how it helps, then say, they have no time...
Anyway, Cran, they actually USE those platelets?? That's funny. I know they give $$ for people to give them, but I've never seen them in use. Hmmph...maybe I'll start giving those more often too then...

Cause your nice and not selfish.

Kinda person who like seeing others open gifts more than receiving them... Just a guess...
