Who likes Cell Phones?

I think that once I finish my Eagle project, my cell phone will break in an unfortunate accident...that accident being me "dropping" it on the ground and running over it with my car six dozen times. Then I won't have a phone until November...pure bliss.

I use my cellphone for everything. Internet on the road, texting, and calls. I couldn't image my life without a cellphone. I can't wait to get the new Droid. if we didn't have DSL I would of cancelled my land line months ago.

We did that to our TV remote my freshmen year that came with our dorm. It would work, but only after a fight with it. Finally got another and then it was time... After you run it slowly over twice, right before you get it again, punch it, and spin your wheels as you run it over. It should send it flying in a bunch of pieces. Was awesome....

I like my phone, really dig the Trapster App for iphones, tells you frequent places cops run speedtraps. Like hopping online to check anything I need to, bank balance, find restaurants, etc. Texting has it's place too. Much easier to text "Im on my way, Open the garage door" then have a conversion about doing it. Really doesn't matter what other people do, the product itself is still way cool, no need to let them get you down about it..

Hi,

Why waste the gas? Just drop it into a glass of water. It worked for my grandson, he handed the phone to my daughter…”Look mommy, I wet it for you.” J

What I find interesting is how people are completely clueless as to how much it costs to maintain cell phones. MSN has this interesting article on the 'hidden costs' of maintaining a cell phone plan that includes data:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38495612/ns/technology_and_science-tech_and_gadgets/

The average cell phone user spends $800 - $1,200 per year to carry that little device in their pocket. Multiply that times 4 for a family of four. You could buy a brand new Nissan Maxima for just 3 years of cell phone use for a family of four!

And don't even think about having kids without an 'unlimited text' plan. I like that new commercial that shows the kids waiting for the school bus, and they're texting away with this small paper coming out of their phone like the old paper calculators. It shows 20 cents line after line. Then the bus pulls up, and it's completely full of the paper. Cell phones have become an evil necessity for my kids. With all their extracirrcular after-school activities, it's virtually impossible to keep track of them without a phone. When's the last time you saw a telephone booth with a pay phone?

I rely on my phone 100%......... cause I use it as my wakey alarm, an alarm to remind me to take my meds and to clock out for lunch. But I'm dying to get the iPhone because I want the apps and it helps when doing fish research at the LFS. But a cell is a necessity IMO. If I break down in Watts or Compton, there's no chance I'm getting out of the car to find a payphone that really doesn't exist on many street corners anymore.

I love cell phones but I wish some folks would use cell phone etiqutte. They placed a ban on texting while driving but many cell phone talkers aren't paying attention either. And don't you hate it when you are beside someone and they start talking and you think they are talking to you but it just happens that they have a bluetooth device in their other ear.

Ansyway, I BBM more on my phone than anything else. I also use it for notes, pictures and as my alarm clock. I also use it to listen to Sirius while at work. I don't know why Stern isn't on the Blackberry Sirius app so I might get rid of the cellphone subscription.
