i came home with a Omega Seamaster watch... ive always kinda wanted this watch finally splurged... the only other watches i have currently is a movada sport automatic, Coach black rectangular watch chornograph with black aligator band, a bullova, a citizen, and a ESQ.... i tried on some crazy watches they had there almost bought me a $5000 Tag watch that had diamonds in it but i figured thats money better spent on the tank lol

I'm not a guy (I swear), but I collect Coach watches. I get one each quarter that my business is in the black. It started collecting the purses and evoled into really liking their watches. I also still have the Mickey Mouse one that I got when I started kindergarten, jewelry wise, I am a bit of a packrat.

I am "semi" into watches.
Normally wear a Citizen Eco
Splurged several years back on a Stainless Datejust. Love the thing but in stainless they just dont look as sharp after a few years as the solids.
Also sometimes wear a Submariner. I love it too but its really nothing special either as Far as Rolex go. Both of them are almost bottom of the line. Small Jewels in the Sub, but nothing ostentatious.
The watches I eye again and again and always tell myself "Someday" is the IWC chronograph in the standard whiteface antique style. Price tag just puts them into a catigory of rediculously frivilous and I just cant justify it unless I sell the other two first.
......someday.....

And for the record.......Undercover Brother wore an Omega Seamaster , LOL
Good watch, nothing flashy or rediculoous. Take decent care of it , it should last a lifetime.

If your in a quality shop , they know full well its not an impuse thing for most folks to spend so much money on a watch.
You can tell its an artform and they have extreme patience with showing and explaining in plain english certain details that can really make you think solidly about the different finer watches.
They are sharks absolutley, but professional to the core at most any high end shop.
You could wander into one of these shops dressed in a T shirt with armpit stains and they would look right past it I am sure. Provided you dont make an arse of yourself.
It is also these little things that make customers for life. Saving a few hundred bucks by scouring the globe or dealing with fast and loose sleezeballs gets you nowhere.

I don't collect them as in I have a lot of different watches. I have three watches but the one I wear the most is my Rolex Submariner Two Tone. This is a photo I borrowed. I've never really been able to take a photo of mine that looked that well.

Rolex's are the only watches in the world that maintain their value well. I bought my submariner like 2 years ago for 4900, now I just priced it at MAYORS here in FL, its like $6000 and the 2 tone like you have in the pic is $7200 AS well as the GMT MASTER, like my other watch, so if you get the moolah, go ahead and get it, it keeps going up.

Yes Sir. I bought mine in 2003 when they were $6675. They retail for $7800 now as they go up every year. It is rumored the price increase in October is going to be $1000 putting it at $8800. The thing I like about Rolex is they are a not-for-profit company that donates millions of dollars to music programs for children and supplies instruments.

Out of all of the watches I have ever owned I would have to say that my Grandfather's pocket watch is my favorite. My Grandfather was a conductor for the Long Island Rail Road, so its the watch that he carried when he was a conductor! Its been handed down from my Grandfather's uncle (also a rail road conductor), to my grandfather, to my dad and then to me. Its a little beat up, but it still has the lever to change the time on it, because in the old days conductors needed to be able to easily change the time from time zone to time zone. I only wear it on special occasions, because I am afraid of something happening to it. My father and I have been able to keep it running over the years, and I hope to be able to pass it on in the future.
If my camera wasn't broken, I would take a picture!

I like MY watch. Only watch I ever owned. What's it called?? It's a Movado, black face, black band gold trim.
I'm a huge movado fan, I love all of em.

Kids got one for the hubby a fathers day a few years back.
I got the pics off google, I can take the pic, but I don't wanna.

In my younger years I managed a watch store and did watch repairs. I had over 200 of them....ring watches, pendant watches, the good ole swatch watches - you name it, I owned it.
I loved fixing them - just seeing someones face when I had to inform them that their real "rolex" was a fake......it was priceless......
Many moons later - I do not own even 1.

How can you tell with out taking it apart?? My little brother has one like Tangman's and he knows it's fake, but he said there's really no way to tell, he says it fools everybody, even jeweler's.
