Who's cooler, reefers or fish only people and why?

Just thought it's time for the two groups to run some smack (for Jim Rome fans) against each other.
I'll start...
Reefers are a bunch of losers...
Who else would spend hundreds of dollars on something that can't even move? How much enjoyment can you get sitting for hours watching your leather coral do nothing. At least when you watch paint dry, you can see some progress. Why not just sit and watch a picture of an ocean for hours? Really, I mean I love my front lawn but I'm not spending hundreds and thousands of dollars on a blade of grass. OOOOHHHH, it's so exciting to watch it grow.
Some may argue that to keep such an environment takes intelligence... ha. To spend hours upon hours testing calcium, phosphates and other things I've never heard of just shows a lack of better things to do. Besides, the brightest people at my high school still didn't have dates to prom. :jumping:
At least fish have some personality and there is something to watch.
BTW, this is all in good fun (I hope it's taken that way)... but it's time to drop the gloves. :cheer:

ugh, well people who only keep fish are stupid, and are just mad because they can't afford the nice corals!!!

and btw, i'm the coolest, because i said so!!!

first of all i just want to say i enjoy this hobby alot doesnt matter how much money or time or effort i have to put into it.
To the FO people-You just wish you can put your self in same catagory as Reefers. F/O tanks are just a lame, half ass whey to approach the hobby. The difference is it takes a skilled Reefer to be able to acomidate specific needs of the coral enviroment and salt water enviroment. I might spend hundreds even thousands of dollars but i allso get to lay down at night knowing that i have duplicated with my best effort what mother nature does every day. it doesnt take a genius to make up some salt water and put a fish in it. just admit it a reef tank can beat up your F/o tank any day

allways in fun of course

i like to argue allso so if it was really up to me i would have several tanks. One Reef and one F/O with all those Rad angles that love to pick apart a reef and a dedicated shark tank.

Ok, has anyone else ever noticed that fish only people tend smell like sour milk and think the “Mullet Cut” is actually appealing to the opposite ---? Also, we know your big aggressive fish are an actual result of an over compensation due to what the Ladies Man would call a “small wang”. On top of that, anyone who enjoys watching their fish eat and poop all day long is an inbred who must have gone to the prom with their cousin

ok, here goes... corals are better than fish only because you get the experience of both worlds. You get fish, which you like, as well as the neat look of corals. It's like any moron spending $1000's on car crap! It's for aesthetics. Not for personality, as corals really don't have personality. We don't sit and watch them to watch them grow, it's nice to look at the colors. It's also pleasing to know that you can maintain these corals, even though they can be difficult to keep. I think that's the main reward, to sit back and say "wow, i can't believe i'm actually able to keep these interesting and not-so-hardy critters alive." It takes brains, which fish only people probably don't have, as it's not that difficult to feed fish... It's quite relaxing as well, actually so relaxing that it is a recommended therapy for people with depression and other mental disorders.

The bottum line is that reefers are much superior. We have fish!!! We can watch the fish just like you FO's can, where we differ is in what you CAN'T see. You KNOW our water is perfect because we can keep corals. We actually have an aquascape compared to your...rocks. I can see rocks in my back yard!
Fish and rocks...you can't be serious.
Just cause you guys are to lazy to test and correct your parameters, or maybe you just don't know how, don't try to justify yourselves by saying we do to much and trying to make us look bad to compensate for your own inabilities.

Wow you're all sooo sophisticated with your wonderful reefs. Just do me a favor and set down your glass of red wine and lose the Dolce and Gabbana reading glasses.

At least when fish people go to get something new we can make an informed decision. Evaluate the perfect fish for our system rather than "duh... it looks kind of pretty and costs a bunch. I love it" :joy:
BTW, I've always been a little suspicious of you serious reefers. Do you really taste your algae? Does it taste like chicken?
But if it makes you happy then go ahead and max out your credit cards, deplete the oceans and wait for the next time your tank has a minor problem and crashes.:mad: Just make sure you NEVER use medication to cure a disease... strange concept.
Got to get back to work now, fish only people actually have time for a job...

I have a fish only tank with a green star polyp. I cant make fun of reefers cause reef tanks are the coolest tanks of all. If i had the money id buy a 100 gal and stock it full of corals

All of you that are makin fun of reefers, do you all actually like fish only tanks over reef tanks? I figured everybody that has fish only wanted a reef tank!

Seahorse keepers are far superior than all of you. I can keep some reef items and a few fish with my horses with success. I want to see you guys succeed at placing seahorses in your tanks. You can't. You don't have the mental capacity that it takes to raise fry nor do you have the time or dedication to feed them, muchless give them a synthetic environment similar to the ocean waters they live in.
Fish keepers and reef keepers have few diseases and problems to worry about or handle. You guys are just sub par when it comes to level of difficulty. You can't run that fine balance required when feeding your tanks to keep nitrates at zero. Your tanks tolerate higher notrates which equals less work and dedication......in short. Seahorses are superior to you all.
one last thing, reef and fish are all movement challenged compared to my horses. The horses can swim horizontal, vertical, or diagonal with only a flip of their fins. The reefs have to crawl if they move at all and the fish have to turn, or change their body position. Definately far inferior organisms to my seahorses.

Oh yea, Sea Monkeys keepers trump all! My Sea Monkeys have built an underwater world and are working on a way to shrink me so I can live with them! Beat that....
