Who's cooler, reefers or fish only people and why?

Oh please... Seahorses are just fish, like any other. Just cause you can't keep "real" fish you've eliminated them all to keep seahorses. Sheesh, I could keep just ONE type of fish...

And yes Salty Tank, all FO's really want a reef, they just can't pull it off but maybe one day with a lot of hard work and dedication...
At least when fish people go to get something new we can make an informed decision. Evaluate the perfect fish for our system rather than "duh... it looks kind of pretty and costs a bunch. I love it"
I thought that is EXACTLY why you'd want a fish only. You don't hafta research if it's reef safe or it's diet, it's simply pretty so you get it. Now, because you DIDN'T research, you can't get hermits or snails cause your pretty fish will eat it...

Seahorses, I can't believe you chimed in on that. I thought seahorse keepers were delicate souls. Oh no, don't make me compete for food or I'll die. Those fish surrender so quick they might as well be from France. :help:
And it's not that I don't like reefers. I like them fine. I just think they look kind of funny and probably should not mix with the general public.

well i like both! Cant you have a fish only tank with some corals? I have done it before and it was tight! BUT if i had to go with FOWLR or REEF it would definitly be FOWLR. Just because i like to watch those monsterous fish eat at feeding time.......can anyone say feeding frenzy????

My problem is that all of my fish/the fish I like would rather bite you than look at you. God help a reef tank if I dropped some of my livestock into it.

Why dont you put a lionfish, green moray eel, and a clown trigger in with a few chromis, corals and some gobies ***) and see who last the longest.

Fish are cool and corals are cool. The various type of tank setups are awesome. Something for everyone's tastes! It would be a boring hobby if there was only one type of tank to set up.
The arguement should be...why do people set up FO tanks? Is it just monetary? Considering all the downsides to keeping a tank that only has live fish in it.

I think inverts are way more interesting that fish. I just wish that they'd figure out a way to feed most of the nudibranches out there.... I want a tank full of colorful nudi's.

So, to those who feel good because they "go both ways", I have one thing to say to you...
. If you can't pick a side then your fish will realize that you are not loyal to them and they don't like you anyway.

Let's stay focused folks... this is no place here for mature conversation. :jumping:

man you reefers should stop being negative nancy's and just get rid of your gay coral or whatever its called ??? i like just spacing out and watch my fish swim back and forth constantly just doing the same thing day in and day out what could possibly better than that!!!!!!!!!

BTW, I've always been a little suspicious of you serious reefers. Do you really taste your algae? Does it taste like chicken?
But if it makes you happy then go ahead and max out your credit cards, deplete the oceans and wait for the next time your tank has a minor problem and crashes.:mad: Just make sure you NEVER use medication to cure a disease... strange concept.
Got to get back to work now, fish only people actually have time for a job...

Exactly my point, you only have the ability to keep seahorses by themselves. While I have mastered mixing seahorses with other fish and corals. True seahorse keepers have REAL skill.
