Why does my nano look so lifeless

Alright so I have a 24 g aquapod, which I have had for 2 years now, and it still looks so lifeless. I add all the chemicals when I am suppose to, and my tank is like this lifeless form.
I have went through multiple corals which have seemed to just disappear, and 2 fish a clown and a cleaner shrimp which have died.
my current stock-
Yellow Tang
Clown

please, all input is appericated

are you testing for what youre dosing?
purple up + 2 part, that doesnt make sense right there.
iodide isnt needed by dosing usually unless you have an unusual demand for iodine, which i highly doubt you do.
how often do you do water changes?

Ok, I hope you are ready for it

This is what you should start to do...
Weekly water changes 15-20% with RO/DI or distilled water and a good salt mix.
Start Testing and keep a log of: Calcium, Nitrate, Specific Gravity, Temp, pH, Ammonia, KH, Nitrite, Phosphate, And Magnesium.
Stop the dosing till you know what needs to be dosed.......
After you have done the work you will have learned how and what can be done to make this hobby easier.
I hope this is a help

Keeping a log of all the tests is the most important part. This way you can make small changes and see what happens. You should be testing as many parameters as you can daily till you see what and how often to test each. If you do this you will learn how to diagnose problems for your self.

you will need to get more tests for the others. do not dose for anything that you dont test for. for quality kits, stick with salifert

+1 on the kits
ALSO....Get the yellow tang OUT of the tank......it does not belong in a 24G......looks like you have sand in there....so are you saying you have NO CUC at all????
you need to have some snails....nassarius, cerith, astrea are some to start with....can you get a better pic of the tank?
I also think you need better filtration....

Suggestions for better filtration? What is a CUC, and I got 10 blue legged hermits from my LFS. I also got my skimmer working in the back

wow, I if you are using a good salt mix, you should not need any chemicals. I think you are over dosing your tank.
how much flow do you have??
What kind of clean up crew??
What kind of lights??
Tang is too big for a nano tank.
it looks like you have a lot of build up on your rocks. Are you blowing off the rocks when you are doing a water change??

The only flow I have is a spinning head on the outflow. Cleanup crew is 3 snails and 13 blue legged hermits. THe lights are default with the aquapod. What do you mean blowing off?

CUC=clean up crew..
Hermits are not very good...you need snails...and you know (the tang needs to go)
filter media might be necessary instead of just the bio balls.....Do you clean them and how?
