why is my calcium level is 1040?

ive been fighting a hairy algae problem now for a few months..i just bought an ro/di water filter cuz i figured i have phosphates in my water...but before i started using it i tested all my levels and they are all good except my calcium..its off the charts..its at 1040..is this good or bad and can this be causing a problem..if so what should i do..thanks

nope.. i use crystal sea salt though..which is wierd cuz i thought that crystal sea didnt have much calcium in it either

How old is your calcium test kit. I once, accidentally, spilled half a bottle of calcium in my tank and it never reached that high then. What (if anything) do you add to your tank?
Calcium that high seems like it would cause probs....

You would have chalk all over your tank if your calcium was that high. That test kit is wrong if you want my opinion.

You would most defiantly have a snow storm in your tank if you had that much cal in your tank. Either you did your test wrong or your test kit is no good.
