If you already have 440 watts of VHO the Nova T5 system would be a waste of money.
One reason T5's put so much intensity in the tank is the use of a individule parabolic reflector for each lamp. The Nova uses a single flat reflector for all 4 lamps. It's just not worth spending the coin for what might be a small gain in intensity at best.
There is nothing wrong with the VHO's to get you started. Just go slow and when you get exited about SPS or clams invest in a good Tek, Aquactinics or ATI T5 system or grab a couple halides and use 2 of the VHO's for actinics
