well i have decided that clowns have minds of their own. there is nothing i love more then going to my LFS and seeing clowns playing in their anemone! i just bought a couple of ocellaris' about a week ago and added an anemone today. the clowns havent even noticed it hahaha. they just seem so uncomfortable cuz they just spend their nights in the open water of the tank. i wanted to make em happy but they just dont want to make me happy...oh well, maybe theyll discover it one day.
heres the closest one has gotten!

IMO, you're never going to get them into that anemone. I had one and it just didn't end well. If you really want to try them with an anemone, try a carpet or bubble tip, people have the most success with them. FYI, my Hatian got HUGE really quickly and ate my baby Mandarin when it ventured too close (yes, I saw it happen. No, he was not sickly).

yea i have wanted an anemone as bad as a clown since i first set up my tank. i got it for $6 so i couldnt pass it up. i thought i might as well give it a try. if the anemone gets out of control i will just give him back. no harm no foul. luckily he has settled where i wanted him to...away from my corals!!! i guess weel just have to wait n see how it goes

Ok it the picture on the side of the tank does not work... I have taken a video of one at the LFS hosting an anemone, maybe I can play it on tv on a repet mode to have the fish watch it....

that's exactly why I bought one, it was cheap and I wanted one. Ours luckily found a spot away from coral, but it just got gigantic really fast and once it ate my Mandarin, it took a ride on the porcelain school bus.
I hope you have a better experience than I did.
