will this kill my corals?

I notice when i put my hand in my tank i get a little shock. I will purchase a ground probe asap. I was wondering why some of my coral is not threving and some are dying could this be the problem? thanks

do you know whats causing it...that may very well be the reason. i would fix the problem first then add the probe.

yeah i just install a chiller how can i fix that problem?

umm well if the chiller is a defect have you tried returning it or trading it in. if not then if the probe will work...go for it. im no expert on this, im just giving my opinion. as long as the end result is no shock. id really try fixing the chiller problem as it is the source.

i bought from a friend a teco brand it was going for 700 i got it for 85 bucks so i won't complain...

great deal. id try the probe i guess...ur very lucky for getting it at such a cheap price. just make sure it totally gets rid of the shock. do you have any fish in the tank?

yes i have a 20 long dt with a 20 sump 4 clown and 1 damsel and a whole bunch of coral....

. did you mean you have four clowns or 4 as in 'for' a clown. 4 clowns in that small of a tank would fight from all that i've heard. either a pair or one is what should be in the tank.

four of them they all get along great i will post some pics once i get my camera back.....i feed them mysis and brine shrimp everyday...

thats good to hear. id be careful though if they start to show aggression. if they are younger that may explain why they get along for the time being...as they age they might fight. anyways...yes you need to post pics soon lol.

just an idea, but get a tester plug, and plug it into the wall socket that the chiller is plugged into. check to see if there is really a ground going to that socket. Older houses often dont have all of there plugs grounded, so check it out and see. that could be the cause.
even though its a grounded socket, doesnt mean its been installed with a ground.
