ok, well, the Red Birds just made the NFC east interesting. And seriously, what is the deal with manning he was getting blitzed all day, facing a frankenstein secondary playing man, and couldn't do anything... The Giants get some of the luckest breaks I've ever seen.
And what is the deal with all the announcers complaining about helmet to helmet stuff.

Yeah, the Cardinals secondary injuries are concerning, particularly DRC (aka Cromartie) whom in his second year is playing like an All-pro. Collinsworth as usual hit the nail on the head though. Cards didn't play aggressive blitzing D against Peyton a few weeks ago on Sunday night, and got shredded, at least they said we are gonna do what we do and see if Eli can beat us, and they made him look stupid. Giants have some big question marks, they were beating up on bad teams, and the Saints and Cards exposed them....On another note, why was Boldin even out there hobbling around.

Viks finally lost, but played pretty well. I.E., I wouldn't panic if I were a Viks fan. Saints faced some real adversity and survived and the Colts are really really good.
Cowboys did look really good, but I would take it with a grain of salt, even Wade Phillips can "game-plan" for a good team if given a buy week to prepare and get healthy. But they did finally beat a good team, and Romo played good against a good D.

lol, yeah, an extra week of game planning made the difference.
You can't plan romo actually making good throws...
I wouldn't be worried about Farve, imo fumbling in the pocket while passing isn't necessarily the QB's fault. And that interception should have been caught.
I didn't understand it, Boden, and Roy Williams shoulda been on the pine.

first time this year the fans on the radio here havnt torn up the team.although still alot of fans calling in to say romo just had one good game and still blows.i think romo and his new #1 have some same brainwaves together and just looked awesome again.cratton should be benched.
at least my buffalo bills are creeping out of the cellar .not that they look great but at least its not so embarassing for now.

Since they instituted the buy week, teams have won more games than lost after bye weeks....Yes it is an advantage to game plan an extra week for a good team, any good coach would tell you that, problem is Dallas doesn't have a good coach. This is the NFL, watching film is a full time job for those guys.

Dude, I was mocking Romo.
Bum, I mean Wade, well, I will say has a good Defense. Personally I'm more of a Garrett hater than a Wade hater...

I got tickets and am going to watch the Cards in Glendale next Sunday.
How about them Saints? I was expecting them to run the NFC South, but they are off the chain all over. I was wrong at the start of the season. They may actually be a contender this year.

Each SNF game that goes by, the bigger Collinsworth fan I become. Its nice to have fresh face that still has the game of football in his recent memory banks, instead of fond memories of once yore... I don't mean him as a replacement for Madden, I mean other commentators.
Like this past Sunday's game, when he pointed out Eli calling out "Omaha" was the set that the next snap count was the live. None of the other guys in the booths would have picked that up/or told us.

Yep!
Time to jump on the wagon that is "Fitzpatrick"

In my pick 'em group, I'll probably be taking the Cards this weekend over the Saints. The likely of an undefeated team is slim to done, so this weekend is as good as any for a Saints loss.

yea i picked the vikings on my card but wasnt thinkin undefeated and two game winning farve saves.dunno saints look unstopable.brees looks to be the next montana or aikman.he is just so relaxed on the field.
fitzpatrick was certanly a fresh start for the bills.edwards dont look to good this season but thier offensive line aint helping.the bills defensive is playing great in the secondary but last in the nfl on the run and first in penalties is whats killing them.up in buffalo they really arent a bandwagon fan .
the fans there usually always have hope.
these fans here in dallas are brutal always expecting a superbowl.
i dont blame then iguess they sure have the cash to get the players .just signed ware to a 6 yr. deal at 13 mill.a yr.
must be nice for now he can sit back and start sucking like most players do when they sign thier retirement contract.

What I think it really amazing is the microphone work that they use to pick that up. I'm sure other commentators would have picked that up, had they been able to hear the cadence.
IMO Fox's Nascar coverage is the best model to follow. Get a few guys who eat breath and sleep the stuff, and absolutely love and are excited about it. That is what made Madden so great. I am liking Gruden too.
The problem is most of these guys are stoic cookie cutter guys. Who follow the ESPN line of PC thinking.
Like when Gruden was saying, man TO would have made that play. That is good stuff...

Yea, the cool thing will Gruden is how they always show some of his past, usually just him in early 90's getup to razz him, but it's nice to see. I don't think anyone besides people in the league, have an idea of the road someone takes to becoming a head coach in the NFL.
The other thing with NASCAR, is their on-track reporters. Granted the sport is a little different, as they need the 3 or 4 guys in the pits. But just the way they almost always get the toss from the booth to the pits correct is impressive (both FOX and ABC/ESPN). When they do that top 20 rundown during the race they toss it to the pits, then the reporters toss it back and forth to each other. Could you imagine football or baseball TV productions trying that? There's usually only one reporter on the sidelines, and everyone knows the toss is coming, and still, like 50% of the time it's never goes smoothly.

I will say it again. Dallas will be atleast 10-6 on the season...
The Giants don't look to be as good as everyone thought either...

Dallas looked their best all season on Sunday. Romo & Austin seem to be really have something going. Roy Williams on the other hand will be lucky to stay the #2 WR. Cowboys also have THE best RB tandem in the league.
Cowboys are only a couple of bad plays from being 7-0. Romo had a bad game and gave the Giants game away and the Broncos loss was a close one. If they can hold it together through December they will definitely make the playoffs and could challenge for a SB birth!

I'm a huge giants fan....been going to all their games for about 11 years!! There are some very big issues they need to work out. One being their Zone Defense isn't working. Two they need to get more pressure on the QB like they did the past 2 years. And three they need to get the play called in a lot quicker if Eli is going to be at the line dissecting the defense.
And why in the world were they not playing Jacobs more on Sunday?? Sure he hasn't done great this season, but he was breaking 20 yard runs on Sunday and they still didn't play him. Then Bradshaw fumbles on a possible game tying drive. And less face it....Eli hasn't played that poorly in quite some time!!
In regards to the the Cowboys and Eagles...they both suck!! Romo is not the answer and McNabb needs to be replaced for a younger QB!! Miles Austin on the other hand is showing some incredible talent...and since he's from Jersey i'll give him some props.

Dallas gave the Giants 4 turnovers. The Giants were +4 in the turnover department that game....and still need a last second feild goal to win by 2. That is pathetic..even the chiefs would have one by a bigger deficit. Romo isn't the guy? His overall stats and QB rating are better than Eli's.....Yeah, Romo must suck.
The only teams (beside the 2 point squeaker against dallas) the Giants have beat have losing records. The Giants can't beat the teams that actually win games.
Jacobs had more carries than Bradshaw...lately it was reversed...so they were giving it to the guy that was running better. Thing is Manning needed bradshaw in the line up more in case he needed to audible to a passing play as he is the better receiving back.

Every week we (myself included) make rash generalizations about teams based on their weekend performance.
The Giants have lost back to back games to the Saints and Cards....I don't think that is grounds to bury them just yet. When you play good teams, and you are a little off, you lose. It happened to the Cardinals against the Colts and they got ripped. Giants are fighting some injuries on defense too.
Darth, your precious Cowboys beat one team with a winning record, after a bye week I should add, and all of a sudden you are better than the Giants whom beat you in the JerryDome? You keep talking about the 4 turnovers against NY like they were bad luck....Elite defenses create turnovers, that's what they do.
