Sorry for the bad picture. The money bag means you win all 15 prizes. Turns out that there's 5 $100's listed and 10 $50's listed, so it adds up to $1000.
Crappy thing is, I have to take it to a lottery center to cash it and they are going to take taxes out since it is a win over $600.

The glass is always half empty for you isn't it? You spend $10.00 and got $600, but that's a crappy thing???
Happiness in life is 10% what happens to you and 90% your attitude about it. Congratulations, maybe your "luck" has changed, now don't get mugged or something on the way home.

I attritube my change in luck to a class ring that my grandfather gave me of his from his high school. It's solid gold and has 1938 on it. It's my new lucky charm!

LOL...All good things come from God. If the ring helps you view the world a little better then it is truely a good thing...So what will you spend your $600 bucks on?

It will be more than $600 since the win was $1000. They just make you pay taxes on any win ABOVE $600. I'm not sure how much I get exactly, but sadly the money will go to rent and bills. I'm a poor graduate student at Clemson University.
I wish I had the cash to restart my saltwater aquarium after the incident where the power was turned off and EVERYTHING died. Not a single snail, hermit crab, or fish survived.

Rent and bills come first. The good thing is that you are a student, so someday because you have the education, you will be able to afford that tank. I couldn't get a saltwater tank until I was in my 40s. I had three children and they came first. I did have freshwater tanks since my teens.
I have never won anything like what you have, at least get some small crazy indulgent thing.

I honestly don't have the money to. I have around $3000 to live on for the semester, which is nothing at all.
Regarding the glass half empty comment...I think I'm more of a glass completely empty type of person, heh.
If said god does all good things, who is responsible for all of the bad...?

Any losing lottery tickets in your posession that were purchased this year can be deducted from the winnings to reduce the taxes. {hint hint}

I ended up with $930.70. They only took state taxes out, fortunately. This will really help me out a lot.
Luckily, my dad keeps all the losing lottery ticket he has ever bought. I'll use those as gambling losses for my taxes for 2010, lol.

Yeah, and you thought Daddy was nuts for keeping all those old tickets

I've only ever won one jackpot big enough to be 1099ed and I honestly forgot to claim it on taxes. Never heard from Uncle Sam's friend IRiS or the state on that, just extra lucky that year I guess.
