I received my package today with 5 new fish that I ordered online. It was my first time ordering online and I guess I didn't get what I wanted. The fish that arrived are all small. To cut to the chase my tank has 1 Humu Humu Trigger about 6 inches big, a Sohal Tang about 4 in, 2 Yellow Tangs 4 in, a 3 in Panther Grouper, a 6 in Lion, and a harmless 7 in Porcupine Puffer. When I add fish the Humu Humu pics on them for a day and then leave them alone. No the Lion is hunting but he is slow and wont succeed, the main problem is the Sohal Tang. Does anyone know a way that I can come them all down they are swimming so fast that when they hit the tank glass it is real loud? Please help I don't want fish fleash all over the place.

90 Gallon I added 5 at once figuring that the fish will be overwhelmed and not attack. It's mainly the Sohal, and the Trigger.

would you stop adding fish to your 90 gallon.. i dont know how else we can get this through your head. those fish are entirely too big for your tank and people myself included have told you that is too many time and time again, yet you seem to not want to listen.. you have 12 fish, most of which get bigger than 8 inches. why are you doing this??? you start new threads and reply to older threads about the problems you are having... YOU are being flamed now!!

I agree 100% with this. Return these fish or get them to a new system. Way too many big, aggressive fish for a small tank.

You guys know that every tank is different there are exceptions to every rule. So far I have had 000 problems with fish getting along. So far I am doing very well. I ran into a problem which is the nature of the hobby, and I need a solution other than getting fish out of the tank because I don't have a place for them to go so if you have any SMART ideas let me know if not keep it closed!

I also agree whole-heartedly. If you come on this website asking for help and don't take the advice of people that are trying to help, why do you continue to ask questions? You definately have waaayy too many fish for such a small tank! You were alread at the max # of fish you can have, and you just purchased 5 more... AT THE SAME TIME???
Ok, i'm not here to yell at you, but your own way of thinking on this is going to get you into big trouble. The whole "adding 5 fish at once to shock the other fish so they won't attack them" is waaayyy off. Yeah, you're going to shock your fish, but not the way you want. You're going to send your tank into another cycle, because now it won't be able to handle the bio-load. This will shock your whole system, and your fish won't be able to handle the amounts of ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites... I hope you're prepared to lose them, because that's most likely what will happen.

We're not worried about your fish getting along, we're worried about them being able to survive. I think the ONLY solution is to get rid of the newbies.
The SMART idea here would've been to listen to carshark in the first place, because now it's too late. If you're only here to listen to ideas that coincide with your desires, this is not the place to be. Those aren't SMART ideas, they're STUBBORN ideas. You should listen to the people that have been doing this for a while, rather than disregarding the SMART ideas they bring to you because it doesn't fit your plan.

what we have told you time and again what is "SMART" its YOUR ignorance that keeps getting in the way. there is only one SMART way here, get rid of the fish. you say that its been fine, you have only had the tank less than 2 months as you said before... i guess im done debating this with you as it does absolutely no good. dont expect people to tell you what you want to hear, because in this situation you are heading for disaster
this is the same tank you reported cycling in 24 hours....a moderator told you that wasnt adequate, you argued and disagreed. well since no one is telling you what you want to hear do what you will, but please dont ask anyone for help, when you arent doing what they suggest to do. how can anyone give advice, invaluable at that, when you dont follow what should be done..

That’s extremely FALSE I don’t just follow my desires when it comes to this, if I did I would be broke! I know a few senior hobbyists who have seen my tank and the way it is stocked and they told me that I can add 5 to 6 more fish, as per adding them all the same time it made sense to me because I know the nature of my pets remember they are all different. I will let you know what happens with the fish. I think only one will not survive and that is because I thought he was bigger when I ordered him. FOR THE FUTURE PLEASE TRY TO KEEP THIS SITE FRIENDLY or you will be ruing its nature and atmosphere!

I have my tank for 7 months first of all, and I never argued with a moderator they know what they are talking about, unlike soem others here.

an experienced hobbyist told you 12 fish of a larger nature are ok in a 90 gal.? when most species get over 8 inches and some towards 13-16" ? interesting.

here is some more constructive criticism if you like. instead of adding five fish at once, try adding one every month or so and everytime you do add it, change around the decoration. by the way when that grouper gets bigger, and he will fast, he will eat anything he can put in his mouth.
