The guy who owns one of the LFS's here took a turkey baster and ran a piece of flexible rubber tubing out of it that connected to a long rigid plastic tube.
sucks the stuff up, its easy to bend to whatever dirrection he needed and he's feeing his 2' clam on the bottom of a deep 450g tank.

That would be a cheap alternative which sounds like it could get the job done.

it was pretty sweet, Im not sure how he got the rubber to attach to the baster, but i do recal he just streched it over the ridgid tubing on the other end.

The only problem is if it is too flexible...when you go 30" deep they are hard to maneuver......that is one problem I have with the sea squirt
I found the rio ...I'm gonna order it

Well it's ordered....along with some grabber thing

I hated the idea of ordering one thing, and I had just placed an order 2 days ago for some other supplies....

Maybe that's my problem. I HATE feeding my corals and HATE spot feeding my fish if they're not eating because my tube gets clogged VERY easily and it pisses me off! I typically find myself just saying "F*$@ IT!" about 2 minutes into it because it won't suck up anymore. I paid $25 for my POS part.

LOL....OK...well then I suggest you DO NOT buy corals that need to be spot fed for now on...haha
the goby should feed itself though.....just be patient with it

I think its opposite of what you are thinking, the flexible part is attached to the baster, the part that goes in the tank is rigid,
